TURPION JOURNALS: SUBSCRIPTIONS PRICES FOR 2007 VOLUMES
Dear Colleagues
Our 2007 subscription prices are now available on our website
http://www.turpion.org/main/sr.phtml
GENERAL INFORMATION
In 2007 we continue to offer 'Print+Online' and 'Online Only'
options. All current subscribers to Turpion journals have online
access to 10-year full-text archive ("current archive") at no
extra cost. We no longer offer a 'Print Only' option and all
existing 'Print Only' customers will now benefit from online
access to the current volume plus "current archive".
All our journals participate in Turpion Journals Package, and our
customers will benefit from a wide range of discounted packages,
and hopefully will save some money.
In 2007 for most of our journals an average price increase is
4.7%, and for those who subscribed to 'Print+Online' and 'Online
Only' options in 2006 the price is only increased at 1.7%.
ORDERING INFORMATION
Turpion is pleased to announce again that in 2007 onward IOP will
provide subscription fulfilment and distribution on behalf of
Turpion Ltd, and these new arrangements will take effect with the
renewal of journal subscription for 2007. Every effort will be
made to ensure that the transition runs smoothly and that any
noticable changes are positive ones.
Orders for all of our journals can be placed through subscription
agents or prepaid directly to the relevant addresses:
http://www.iop.org/EJ/librarians/-page=order/
Please note that IOP's exclusive arrangements with Maruzen in
Japan are not applicable to Turpion Journals.
ONLINE ACCESS INFORMATION
In 2007 web access to the journal content will continue to be
hosted by Turpion Ltd. There will be no disruption to the current
level of service enjoyed by Turpion customers.
The online version arrives on our website four to six weeks
before the print version. We set up access within three working
days upon registration on our website
http://www.turpion.org/main/reg_form.phtml Once registered, a
library need not register again - access is updated automatically
upon renewal to the journal subscription.
Electronic journal queries should be addressed at email:
custserv@turpion.ru
Our licence agreement (http://www.turpion.org/licen.html)
supports Interlibrary Loan requests and Course Packs in both
print and digital form; a perpetual access arrangement permits
the Subscribing Institution to continue to have access - after
cancellation of a subscription - to the volumes for which
subscriptions had been duly paid for as long as practicable.
TURPION HISTORIC ARCHIVE
Turpion has comprehensively digitized its journal historic
archive (1958-1996) dating back to the first English translation
volumes (http://www.turpion.org/archive ). The archive contains
full-text articles of top-level research in physics, mathematics
and chemistry. Article level linking structure for the historic
archive is the same as for the current journals. In 2007 we
continue to offer three pricing options for Historic Archive:
one-time purchase fee, entire-archive annual subscription, and
single-title annual subscription.
Purchasing the archive ensures your institution has access to:
- Over 200 volume-years of journals
- Over 25,500 articles
- Over 252,000 pages of scientific research
CHANGE OF PUBLISHER
In accordance with the Turpion Ltd Board decision, the Turpion
publishing project will be concentrated on well established
Russian translation journals that we do publish in cooperation
between the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Physics,
and the London Mathematical Society. And two journals MENDELEEV
COMMUNICATIONS, ISSN: 0959-9436, Online ISSN: 1364-551X REGULAR
AND CHAOTIC DYNAMICS, ISSN: 1560-3547, Online ISSN: 1468-4845 are
not translated from Russian but instead are published directly in
English, and they are not a part of the above learned societies
cooperation.
Those two titles will be published and distributed in 2007 onward
by new publishers' partnership. We currently negotiate the terms
for such changes. On the results of these negotiations we will
jointly announce our customers.
