Access to Chicago Health Journals via S.M.I.L.E.

Chicago Journals to Provide Access to Healthcare Journals through
SIMID S.M.I.L.E.
Chicago (USA) / Porza (CH) -- The University of Chicago Press
announced today that it has partnered with SIMID to provide
metadata and full-text articles from its portfolio of medical
journals. Through involvement with the Scientific Medical
Information Library Europe (S.M.I.L.E.) database, the University
of Chicago Press aims to increase European readership and
international exposure to vital medical research.
Founded in 1891, the University of Chicago Press is the largest
American university press. Chicago Journals publishes periodicals
and serials in a wide range of disciplines, including several
journals that were the first scholarly publications in their
respective fields. Online since 1995, Chicago Journals has also
been a pioneer in electronic publishing, delivering original,
peer-reviewed research from international scholars to a worldwide
audience.
SIMID is a European corporation providing internet library
service to the pharmaceutical industry and medical professionals.
Launched in 2005 by SIMID, S.M.I.L.E. is a combination database
and library of over 660 medical journals and books covering
thirty-four medical disciplines, including oncology, cardiology,
and psychiatry. Sponsored users are able to search the exhaustive
database in its entirety and enjoy direct access to full-text
scientific medical articles.
