Email "Call for Papers" (spam) does not come from Elsevier
Over the past few days a fraudulent message has appeared on
several scientific Internet sites requesting a "Call for Papers"
and referencing Elsevier as the sender. This message is now
being forwarded to library listservs. It uses a fake publisher
email address and tries to look like an official announcement.
Please be aware that this is a spam message and is a fraud that
is being perpetrated on potential authors since it asks for money
up front. Please be assured that this is not an Elsevier email
and Elsevier is in no way involved with this scam. Elsevier is
working with authorities to counter the spread of this fraud.
If you come across the spam email 'Call for Papers' please do not
respond to it. We kindly request that you forward the email to
eesservices@elsevier.com. Thank you for your cooperation with
this matter.
