AAFP Announces Restricted Online Access to Journal Content
The American Association of Family Physicians (AAFP) has
announced that beginning in April 2008, it will restrict online
access to new issues of its journals, American Family Physician
and Family Practice Management, to AAFP members and paid
subscribers.
New journal articles will be restricted for a period of 12
months, after which time they will be available on the "public
side" of <www.aafp.org/afp> and <www.aafp.org/fpm> where 90% of
the journals' content will continue to reside. Previously, 100%
of AFP and FPM content has been available online without a
subscription.
Although current rates were established for print subscriptions,
these subscriptions will also provide online access beginning in
April. Current prices will remain in effect, however, for the
remainder of the year. For more information on AFP, or to
subscribe, contact your agent or go to www.aafp.org/afp and click
on subscriptions. For FPM go to <www.aafp.org/fpm>. You may
also call 800-274-2237 (913-906-6000).
American Family Physician is published 24 times a year, Family
Practice Management 10 times a year.
