Well, it is usually research universities, like the 50 some 
members of the Association of American Universities, that have 
the biggest athletic programs , the largest stadiums, and are 
members of the BCS system that runs the college football bowl 
games. I wouldn't be surprised if at all of these universities 
(except the Ivies, which aren't members of the BCS) the budget of 
the athletic department far outstrips the budget of the library. 
So much for priorities.
