Shibboleth access now available for Cambridge Journals Online

Cambridge University Press is pleased to announce its first wave 
of Shibboleth compliance is now live. As of February 2009, all 
subscribing institutions who are members of the UK Access 
Management Federation can access its journals using Shibboleth.

The Shibboleth System is a standards-based, open source software 
package for web single sign-on across or within organizational 
boundaries. It allows sites to make informed authorization 
decisions for individual access of protected online resources in 
a privacy-preserving manner. Library users in institutions that 
use Shibboleth can now access all Cambridge journals using their 
institutional usernames and passwords.
