The Yale University Library Rescue Repository (RR) is a managed storage environment for at risk digital materials owned by collections within the Yale University Library (YUL). It functions as a central storage space, administered by Integrated Systems and Programming (IS&P), where copies of these valuable digital materials may reside. What's in my Ingest Summary? The iIngest process creates a log file for each individual's ingest session. All ingest logs are summarized and a report is delivered via e-mail to the designated staff members for review on a daily basis. The logs represent the previous day's activity on Rescue Repository. For each ingest log file created the previous day, a collection owner, collection and sub collection is identified and tallies for the column headings listed below subtotaled by collection owner collection and sub collection. Additionally the script totals the number of Repository Object counted for the collection owner, collection, and sub collection. COLUMNS: File - The output also gives totals for: -A collection's successful validations, transfers and verifications, failed validations and verifications, and total number of errors for an entire day - the number of files in a Sub-collection on the Rescue Repository server -the number of files in the Owner directory on the Rescue Repository server *As of 8/9/2005, log summaries are available for ingest sessions ONLY. |
