CATALOG STATUS CODE
NOTE: must be lower-case letter
a = in process, cat copy found
b = in process, no cat copy
c = not to be cataloged
d = classed separately
e = manually cataloged
f = temporarily cataloged, copy found
g = temporarily cataloged, copy not found
h = cataloging completed
x = not held, not in process
CATALOG STATUS DATE: preceded by the label DT.
ACTION DATE: preceded by the label AD.
COPY CONTROL NUMBER:
Copy statements are sequentially numbered (001, 002, 003, etc. by the system and cannot be renumbered.
COPY STATUS CODES:
0 = single volume (item not yet received)
1 = single volume (item received)
2 = multiple volumes (incomplete)
3 = multiple volumes, complete (all items received)
CLASSIFICATION TYPE CODES:
A = item not yet received
I = in process
L = Library of Congress
M = alternate LC
N = 3rd LC
O = alternate other class scheme, unique call number
R = alternate SuDocs
S = SuDocs
T = other class scheme, unique call no.
U = non-unique call number of textual phrase
X = no call no. (no b subfield)
Y = accession type no.
Z = none(not classed or withdrawn)
LOCATION/CALL NUMBER FIELD:
a = location, sublocation/copy no.
k = form/size description, stamp above call no. (limited to 12 characters)
b = class number
c = remainder of call number
v = volume designation
COPY STATEMENT DATE:
The system automatically supplies the current day's date in this field.
ACTIVITY STATUS INDICATOR:
A = open order, unreceived
B = currently received (for standing orders)
C = partially received
D = received, not paid
V = failed order, vendor cannot supply
W = returned to vendor, order cancelled
X = cancelled
Z = completed, received
H = successful order (Z order moved offline)
Y = unsuccessful order (V, W, X order moved offline)
RELATIVE STATUS INDICATOR:
N = new title/copy
A = added copy
B = back issues
C = transfer (e.g. for serial subscriptions)
E = added edition
R = replacement
ORDER PREFIX NUMBER:
This number indicates whether this is the first, second, or other order for a title.
DIVISION PREFIX NUMBER:
When this number is higher than 001, the order has multiple divisions. Multiple divisions may indicate multiple copies or an order for a publication with multiple publication patterns.
