Library Server Support Guide

To report server outages for the services listed in the table below:

If you experience a problem using a Library resource while you are in one of the Yale University libraries, please report the problem to Library staff at that Library's Reference Desk. If the reference desk is closed, please notify staff at the nearest circulation desk.

During the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday): Library Staff should report problems to the Library Systems Office Help Desk: 432-1849.

During the hours of 5:01 PM - 7:59 AM (Monday-Friday); 24 hrs (Sat/Sun): Patrons should contact Library staff, if possible, who should report the problem to the ITS machine room. If Library staff are unavailable patrons can contact the ITS Machine Room: 432-6506.
Ask that the ITS Library Projects Group Staff Member on call be paged and give a brief explanation of the problem.

To report problems with services NOT listed in the table below:

Follow the instructions under "For Assistance" information page for each electronic resource. Examples: WilsonWeb, INSPEC.
Or report the problem using the online Problem Reporting Form .

Check the WW&DCS Support Server Status page.

Legend:

1: ITS staff immediately notified to provide 7/24 on-call support.

2: ITS staff immedately notified; most support handled the next business day.

3: ITS staff notified next business day.
