The Library's network presence creates a learning community without time and space restrictions to supplement services and collections offered within the libraries. We aspire to use this library environment to:

• forge partnerships with Yale University faculty, students, and staff, as well as information communities off campus
• provide access to collections and resources available whenever and wherever readers have network connectivity
• guide readers to the Library's collections and services
• encourage learning and management of knowledge among our readers
• contribute to a productive and communicative workplace for library staff engaged in supporting services to readers
• improve the quality of library services through new and emerging information technologies
