WELCOME TO YALE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

Welcome to the Yale University Library, one of the world's largest and most distinguished libraries. With collections housed in more than thirty buildings on campus, the Yale libraries have holdings of more than 10,000,000 bound volumes as well as vast groupings of maps, manuscripts, computer files, sound recordings, music scores, art works, coins, microforms, ancient clay tablets, and other unique research material. You can find information on much of the Yale Library's holdings using ORBIS, Yale's online public catalog.

The Yale University Library includes over 35 separate libraries. These pages provide only a brief overview of our large and dynamic Library. For more detailed information, please consult our staff. They can help you with your resarch problems, teach you to use printed and computerized reference tools in various fields, find books for you at Yale or other research libraries around the world, introduce you to our online catalog, and provide other assistance to you as you carry out your academic work.
