We relied heavily on Jakob Nielsen's theories of usability testing because they worked best with our needs and limited resources. We were particularly engaged by his qualitative methodology and his practicality in testing. We needed substantive feedback on the current Research Workstation and wanted to hear ideas from users about what they wanted.
